One of the best changes I’ve made to my life this past year has been re-centering my health. When I started my job on the trading floor, I very quickly got sucked into a habit of eating unsatiating meals because I was glued to my desk, and then binge eating when I got home.
To make matters wore, I even ended up having to do physical therapy for months because I had such debilitating pain around my neck and back. At one point, the pain around my neck/back was so acute I couldn’t even lift both hands at the same time. Turns out, over the course of ~2 years, my neck’s cervical curve had slowly started inverting. Not the “curvy” image I had wanted …
Fast forward, I still have neck pain, but it’s been getting better. Besides better stretching routines and more consistent weightlifting to strengthen my back, I’ve also changed my diet (for the better)! I replaced the over-ranched sweetgreen salads, boba, and bagels with organic Costco grocery items.
Because health = wealth, and being healthy doesn’t have to break the bank 😌. Let’s go!
The Costco Essentials
Organic Raw Kombucha, Guava Passionfruit - $15.20 for 8 count
Best flavor out there. Somewhat high on sugars @16g but if you water it down and have half a serving a day it lasts you even longer!
Orgain Organic Plant Based Protein - $39.77 for 24 servings
I have a protein smoothie religiously every morning. 21g of plant-based protein per serving and it’s so yummy!
Healthy Choice Organic Fudge Bars - $14.03 for 18 count
Because who doesn’t love dessert?
Bibigo Organic Potstickers - $15.79 for 10 servings
Steamed = chef’s kiss.
Simply Protein Crispy Bars - $14.03 for 15 count
High in fiber ++ only 8g of fat and 13 grams of protein. That’s a good ratio for a quick power snack.
